How Does Hire Work?
- Book your hire for the approximately 4 weeks before your due date
- We ship your machine to you or we have local pick up in Caringbah, NSW
- You familiarise yourself with the unit (with our helpful videos)
- Use during early labour right through established labour and pushing
- Once your hire period ends, simply return it by placing it in the prepaid satchel and into any Red Australia Post Box or return to where you picked up from
- Need more time? Just let us know we offer weekly extensions for $10 per week

TENS Machine
When should I use a TENS machine?
Our midwives recommend starting the TENS as soon as contractions begin. Early use helps your body gradually build a natural endorphin response making it more effective as labour progresses.
You can wear it as you move, walk, use a birth ball, or breathe through your contractions.
If it was a false alarm, you can just take it off and put it back in the packaging.

Our story
One Mama was founded by a midwife and a mum of five who understands just how important it is to feel prepared, supported and confident going into labour.
Time and time again, we saw women approaching birth without access to simple, effective tools that could genuinely support them through contractions. TENS machines are widely recommended by midwives, yet they’re often difficult to source, confusing to use, or left until the last minute.
We knew this needed to change.
